Dolphins are marine creatures with an average length of six feet and weigh close to one hundred and fifty pounds. They have long beak-like snouts, blowholes, dorsal fins, and sharp teeth. They are ocean-going mammals that can hold their breath for twenty minutes before needing to resurface. Dolphins are fast swimmers.
When protecting themselves, dolphins ram victims and inflict 1d6 damage.
They live in oceans and travel in groups of four to twelve. Dolphins feed on fish, jellyfish, octopuses, and small squid. Males and females share the same characteristics. Young dolphins have one-half the health and damage potential of an adult dolphin.
Dolphins gather in groups to protect themselves from sharks and other predators. In most encounters with humanoids, dolphins have proven to be friendly but shy.
