Gazelles are lean, long-legged animals that are similar to deer. They stand five feet at the shoulder and weigh two hundred pounds. Gazelles have brown fur that turns white on their bellies and tails. They have two long horns, which reach a length of two feet. Gazelles are fast runners that can sprint for up to two minutes without tiring. They are cautious creatures, always watching for predators, and are only surprised 10% of the time.
These shy animals avoid conflict, choosing to run from enemies or predators. If forced into combat, a gazelle attacks with its horns, inflicting 1d3 damage.
Gazelles live in deserts and grasslands. They live in herds, ranging from several dozen to several hundred, and eat plants and leaves. In herds, females outnumber males four to 1. Females and males have the same general characteristics, but females only inflict 1d2 damage. Young gazelles do not fight at all.
